Limits and failure cases
The target size is a best-effort ceiling, not a guarantee. The tool may reduce pixel dimensions and, for JPG or WebP, encoding quality. PNG size control is less precise. Canvas export removes image metadata, and transparent areas become white in JPG and WebP output.
Local processing and result checks
Source images are decoded and processed in this browser. Multiple-file ZIP creation loads JSZip from a CDN; the library request does not include your images. Compare dimensions, visual detail, transparency, and actual file size before replacing an original.
